A Source for Distraction
The (almost) daily journal of a newly graduated and employed geologist. This blog started out as a way to procrastinate on schoolwork, and has since become an outlet for my everyday life.

A Bead A Day
Thoughts of a crazy cat lady turned beader, shamelessly trying to promote my jewelry and my website. Musing on my never-ending effort to navigate and understand the twists and turns of the Internet selling community. All while trying to not give in to middle age and mediocrity.

A Belle Abroad
I am on an adventure to find little bluebird of happiness. I am a small town Southern girl who took one huge leap of faith and moved to Mongolia to be with the love of my life, soulmate, best friend, and husband, who also happens to be my high school sweet heart. That little bluebird has taken us to China, Japan, Indonesia, and France and we've lived happily abroad in Ulaanbaatar, Singapore, London, and now Vejle - a small town on the eastern coast of Denmark. In 2009 our son, The Babe, was born in London. Now I spend my days running after him while trying to navigate this crazy and wonderful life. I use this space to share with you the ups and downs of our life abroad as well as all the things that inspire me.

The best in Brooklyn, as reported by an intrepid band of bloggers located in Carroll Gardens and Cobble Hill. We eat, we drink, we shop, we go out, and we gossip about neighborhood happenings and the random stuff that makes living in Brooklyn so great. We love our 'hood and our fellow Brooklynites!

A Bunny a Day
It's hard not to like stuffies, I love them! Each day I paint a portrait of a fuzzy friend and post it on to my blog. The portrait becomes available for purchase, and 20% of the proceeds go to an animal charity. It's tons of fun. The paintings make great children's room art, and are nice hung individually or in a group!

a certain slant of light
A teacher writes about life: marriage and poetry being dominant themes, with certain featured recipes, knitting and sewing projects, literature, theatre, and a large amount of photography. That, and one day, a family, but for now, the mortgage and our fine furry friends keep us on our toes, along with a rambling garden and that wedding countdown.

Amy Martineau Vermillion Interior Design
Not the average design blog, Martineau Vermillion is written by an interior designer who has been designing for over 18 years. It is entertaining while informative and a little off beat. Amy Martineau Vermillion's background includes custom furniture design, high end kitchen and bath design and full scale renovation projects as well as private jets. With a full client load and a busy life outside of her work, (including a toddler daughter), Amy is constantly striving for balance amongst the potential chaos. The blog's topics vary from life as a designer, interesting finds and reads to trends and history.

A Pair of Pears
Our blog started off as a way to keep our families up to date on our lives together as newlyweds living in Los Angeles. Now, it's become a place for us to share what we love with everyone: graphic design, typography, printmaking (especially letterpress), photography, animation, and everything beautiful. During the day, Jamie works as a graphic designer and Jake works as a motion graphics artist.
