I Am
"I Am" is the quirky observations of a single, twenty-something, almost graduated college student. I post about my life, my ideas, my friends and my family and usually about my many procrastination techniques that help me get out of writing papers and the like. I find humor in everyday things, and I appreciate the little things...and I blog about them!

I am Trish Marie
I am a mom 99.9% of the time. Somewhere buried underneath that, occuying the .1% left is the loud, obnoxious, crude girl I used to be. That girl appears here. She is the one that writes the stories. She says the things I wish I could say outloud sometimes, but can't for fear that my six-year-old will repeat me.

I Hate Laundry
I Hate Laundry is a funny, irreverent, and happy blog that chronicles the start up of Chirp, a clothing company for the modern family, while living life as a stay-at-home mom to three little ones. It includes everything from my clothing, my art work, my kids, my husband, my friends, my home, my garden, local and national designers, my messes, my freak-outs, and my absolute loathing of laundry. I Hate Laundry starts as a slow trickle of history of life with just two kids. Then journeys on through time being pregnant with a third, having vivid dreams of rappers and gangsters attending the birth of the baby, my obsession with gangster rap and Martha Stewart, and the birth of my clothing and art business. My blog is fun and doesn't take itself too seriously. Life is messy, there will always be dishes, laundry, lawns to mow, and floors to sweep, why not take time out to create and just be with the ones you love? Then make a little fun of them when they're not looking.

Is Rex a Dog?
I've been asked if Rex a metaphor for the author. Rex isn’t a metaphor! Rex is a dog. Dog’s are simple. Many women think men are simple. Rex is anything but simple, however -- the "ex" in Rex is complex. Rex’s stories are a metaphor for our human tendency to label each other. I see that tendency as a natural inclination to reduce complexity, to simplify people, to simplify our view of the opposite sex, but men are so much more than dogs... What you think is actually going on at first, may not be what’s really going on. ;-p

internalconversations
Our three main religions have at their core the experiences their prophet(s) had. By 500 years from today, these will be well known as experiences available to all of us, thus removing the exclusive relationship to God each religion affirms for itself and denies to the others. People will have learned to identify with the evolutionary process as the source of their life, and consider their own life as an opportunity to keep it growing—direction unknown. The word God will have been accepted as belonging to time and place and supplanted by new knowledge as can happen to any word.
