It’s our first home. When we bought it in 2006, we were coming off of a combined 8-years of living in Manhattan. Having 1,350 sq. ft to play with seemed like quite a luxury. The only problem: the house definitely showed its age.
Armed with a little bit of know-how, a lot of enthusiasm and hundreds of hours of HGTV and design magazines to provide inspiration we didn’t waste a second. After 16 months, the list of what we did (and re-did) is too long to bother with. Trust us when we say that it was certainly a lot of work, time, and satisfaction upon completion.
To date we’ve added a slew of new skills to our metaphorical toolbox and even some new equipment to our literal toolbox. Now it’s just a matter of our patience and our wallets keeping up with our to-do list. Here you’ll find our continued adventures and misadventures in home improvement.
